About Ekimelo
Ekimelo means “refuge” in Lingala. It is much more than an association: it is a place of hope for children living on the street in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Ekimelo is a vision born in the heart of a child full of dreams, who was convinced that every child deserves to grow up in an environment where they feel loved, cared for, protected and respected.
Thanks to our passionate team and our partners, this vision has become a real commitment, carried out through a range of actions that improve each child's daily life, so that they can thrive and build their future in a caring environment.
We also aim to raise public awareness of the plight of children in distress and to mobilise resources for lasting solutions.
